v.v [oakland]
v.v. are the initials of ven voisey. lost in beauty, clarity through
observation, listening with no intent, blurry-eyed gaze, filtration
of second-hand experience, multi-channel communication void, nasty
one-liners and the collision factors. could probably loop forever.

bernard elsmere [los angeles]
Alameda Suspended multichannel composition for three pianos
Driving south on Alameda there's a half finished building with holes
where
the windows should be. Looking for 9th I turn right on Bay. Bay's not
a turn.
Trucks are waiting in four directions. Something is obstructing the gas
pedal
and there's a bright light in my rear view mirror. It feels like the
car is
slowly lifting up into the air.
The audience is composed into shapes. Lined up along corridors,
grouped into
blocks, flowing freely around structures, walking in single file downtown
in
the middle of roads which cross at right angles above and below each
other.
Bernard Elsmere is a visual artist and musician. Since moving to
LA from
London in '96 he's focussed primarily on music and installation, usually
working with violinist Julie Fowells as f100. f100's next performance
will
be at Line Space Line at the Salvation Theater in LA on October 14th.

titled
repetitions. the repetitions series consists of repetitive motion captured

circling over a crime scene, the audio contains the sounds of two other
